Fixed Asset Manager

Job Description:

As a Fixed Asset Manager at Axon, you will be instrumental in overseeing and controlling the company's tangible assets. You will be the primary point of contact for all matters related to fixed assets, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic insights to optimize asset utilization and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain a comprehensive fixed asset register, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Develop and implement robust policies and procedures for fixed asset management, adhering to relevant accounting principles (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) and internal controls.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure proper capitalization and recording of new asset acquisitions.
• Conduct regular physical audits of fixed assets to verify existence, location, and condition, reconciling discrepancies with the asset register.
• Calculate and record depreciation expenses accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing appropriate methods and useful lives.
• Manage the disposal process for retired or obsolete assets, ensuring proper authorization, documentation, and accounting treatment.
• Prepare and analyze fixed asset reports, providing insights into asset performance, utilization, and potential areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations related to fixed assets, including the preparation of necessary schedules and documentation.
• Act as a key point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding fixed asset matters, providing necessary information and support.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for optimizing the company's fixed asset portfolio.

About You:

• 2+ years of progressive experience in fixed asset accounting or management, preferably within a technology or manufacturing environment.

Skills Abilities:

• Proven ability to establish and maintain accurate fixed asset records and implement effective control procedures.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices related to fixed assets, including depreciation methods and capitalization policies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Proficiency in using fixed asset management software and ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of relevant tax regulations related to fixed assets is a plus.
