Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Assistant Sales Manager to support our sales efforts.
Reporting to the Director of Sales or a similar leadership role, the Assistant Sales Manager will play a vital role in driving revenue generation through proactive sales activities, account management, and fostering strong client relationships. This position will collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals.
- Actively solicit new business opportunities through various sales activities, including cold calling, site inspections, and networking.
- Manage and nurture existing client relationships to maximize account penetration and loyalty.
- Prepare compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
- Conduct site inspections and entertain clients to showcase the hotel's facilities and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements within established guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records and reports using relevant systems.
- Collaborate effectively with other hotel departments, such as catering and operations, to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Represent the hotel at industry events and trade shows to enhance brand awareness and generate leads.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual sales budget and forecasts.
- Provide support to the sales team with administrative tasks and sales-related inquiries.
- Actively participate in sales meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Sales or other senior leadership.
Qualifications
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in a sales role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of hotel sales processes and revenue management principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using sales CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally as needed for sales calls and events.
- Enthusiastic and proactive approach to sales with a strong customer focus.
